And now, Rockstar did it again: the classic move \u2014 another delay.<\/p>\n<p>The new release date is <strong>May 26, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If all goes well. Which is a big if.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Others release games. Rockstar releases our sanity.<\/h1>\n<p>Originally, it was set for Fall 2025. Then\u2026 \u201cjust a bit more polishing.\u201d Fair enough \u2014 GTA 5 still plays like it dropped yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>But when you\u2019ve left your fanbase thirsty for 12 years, you don\u2019t just say, \u201chang on for one more year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Things that happened before GTA 6:<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Since the 2022 announcement, BattlenetGS released 6 games on BNETGG<\/li>\n<li>Keanu Reeves joined Cyberpunk expansions AND became a Fortnite skin<\/li>\n<li>Overwatch was launched and shut down<\/li>\n<li>Elon Musk got exposed for being boosted<\/li>\n<li>Epic got sued, paid, and handed out V-Bucks<\/li>\n<li>League of Legends reworked Skarner \u2014 and we still don\u2019t have a second trailer<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Flight Simulator launched \u2014 where you fly real planes<\/li>\n<li>Ninja stopped streaming, came back, and disappeared again<\/li>\n<li>The Day Before devs said \u201cgame canceled\u201d and became TikTokers<\/li>\n<li>We got Lineage 3 \/ Eternal \/ Throne &amp; Liberty \u2014 call it whatever<\/li>\n<li>Battlenet launched its Balkan invasion<\/li>\n<li>And Drake&#8230; dropped 4 albums<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>What did Rockstar say?<\/h1>\n<p><strong>Tldr;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We are very sorry that this is later than you expected&#8230; We want to thank you for your support and your patience.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26, 2026. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YgaIn1cYc8\">https:\/\/t.co\/YgaIn1cYc8<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cyeK7GM6Ob\">pic.twitter.com\/cyeK7GM6Ob<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RockstarGames\/status\/1918265468076605706?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 2, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>What we know so far<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Lucia, the series\u2019 first female protagonist, and her criminal partner, star in the new game<\/li>\n<li>The map will include the fictional state of Leonida \u2014 aka Florida with extra meth<\/li>\n<li>The first trailer dropped in December 2023 and already hit over 250 million views. Since then&#8230; radio silence<\/li>\n<li>Some said it would launch Fall 2025.
