Great success for the Greek delegation at the World Esports Championship 2024<\/strong>, the official Esports tournament organized by the International Esports Federation (IESF<\/a>), as they claimed first place in the game Dota 2<\/strong>, securing the title of world champion for Greece!<\/p>\n

The winning team, which represented our country with absolute success, was created and fully supported by Battlenet Gaming Stations<\/strong>, the leading gaming and Esports infrastructure company of the Lancom<\/strong><\/a> group, with the support and approval of the Hellenic Esports Federation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Greek team, with professionalism, passion, and flawless teamwork, stood out among the best teams from around the world, showcasing superior strategy and technical skills. This success marks a milestone for Greek Esports and confirms our country\u2019s dynamic presence on the international stage.<\/p>\n

In the final, the Greek team faced Sweden and managed to win with two consecutive victories. In the first match, Greece dominated the map with excellent control and effective team movements that nullified the opponent’s strategies. In the second match, the team played with absolute confidence, finishing the game quickly and without errors, securing their place at the top of the world.<\/p>\n

The Greek team consisted of Giorgos “SsaSpartan” Giannakopoulos<\/strong>, Tasos “Focus” Michailidis<\/strong>, Haris “SkyLark” Zafeiriou<\/strong>, Dimitris “Thug” Plivouris<\/strong>, Athanasios “dEsire” Kartsampas<\/strong>, and Nikos “ReaLaxXx” Kiazolis<\/strong>, with mission supervisor Mr. Konstantinos Chatzijivas, Esports Supervisor at Battlenet Gaming Stations.<\/p>\n
