Do you want Harry Potter with pink hair and a leather outfit?
Do you want new dungeons with monsters that throw sandwiches?
Mods are the answer to all of that!
Learn the Basics: What Does the New Update Bring?
Avalanche Software just dropped a major update: Starting January 30th, Hogwarts Legacy officially gets mod support on PC. What does this mean? No more headaches trying to install mods – everything is now simple and user-friendly.
Here’s what you’ll get:
- The Creator Kit, available for free on the Epic Games Store. It’s like a factory for creativity: from new hairstyles to entire dungeons.
- A Mod Manager built directly into the game, so you can find and install mods with just a few clicks.
The First Mods You’ll See
As soon as the update drops, you’ll be able to install mods like:
- Alternative broomsticks (e.g., dragons, vacuum cleaners, whatever your heart desires).
- New cosmetics and outfits.
- Endless dungeons where you can test your combat skills.
- And of course, quests you never knew you wanted.
Experienced modders are already prepping for chaos – from Shrek wandering around Hogwarts to brooms that will have you laughing your head off.
But Why Only on PC?
Good question, console friend. Avalanche explained that mods are more difficult to implement on consoles due to stricter security protocols. So, for now at least, the joy of modding belongs to PC players.
Hogwarts Legacy Breaks Records
The game has already sold over 30 million copies, and Avalanche has stated that a sequel is in the works. But with mods, the first Hogwarts Legacy is getting a fresh breath of life and promises to keep players hooked for years.
